One of the most important aspects of this hobby is obtaining the right gear for your "kit" (also called an "impression"). Good gear is important for two reasons. The first is quality. This stuff is expensive, but things that cost more tend to be better in quality. Second, having the right stuff is imperative for functioning in the field. If your shoes are too small or poorly built, you will suffer !! Your uniforms should fit well, and you should be properly outfitted for every weather consideration (we don't stop for rain, or snow, or anything!!). Your Mentor will assist you with every step of the process. Do not purchase anything, even if it's listed by one of our approved suppliers, without first contacting your Mentor. We can save you money and a lot of headaches. No one expects a recruit to drop $2,000.00 out of the gate. Some of our members took a year to assemble their complete kit, and there is nothing wrong with that. Remember, this stuff isn't just for show, we work hard in it and if it's poorly constructed it won't last long. Below is a list of items that you will need to acquire. Happy shopping !! (We have found that by purchasing the wife some flowers occasionally this process will move much faster!!)
